First of all, OMG. If there was an award for the most perfect looking haircare products, Balmain would hands down. I was lucky enough to be sent some of their products, the Stylist Gift set to be precise and I was completely overwhelmed with what I received! I first heard about these products when I went into Topshop's new 'Beauty Mart' and saw them being sold there, howver they can also be purchased online here

So with great happiness I can tell you that Balmain, the brand famously and regularly donned by Kim Kardashian have branched out into the beauty world, and boy am I glad they did! The luxuriousness of their clothes are definitely mirrored in the quality of their products.

Silk Perfume & Vaporiser - £20.95
This has to be one of my favourites of the bunch. I am already a massive fan of leave-in treatments as it is and this has just swept in and taken first place above all.  It is infused with silk proteins and Argan oil, which is very common to come by nowadays as everything has Argan oil in it. However I use this with the Vaporiser which can be purchased separately and it applies like an absolute dream. It is so lightweight that it doesn't even seem like you're putting anything on your hair, which is great for someone like me who has ridiculously long hair, who doesn't need anything heavy to drag my hair down. It also promises to to detangle, tick, and finally, add shine and health to the hair, tick, tick. If you're in search of a luxurious leave-in conditioner that smells TO. DIE. FOR, then this is most definitely the one for you.

Texturising Salt Spray - £16.95
This is another one of my favourites and one I know I'm going to need to repurchase this once I'm done with it as it has completely changed my hair styling routine. Salt sprays are something I have tried many of as I love a tousled look to my hair and this does exactly that. I won't lie to you, I didn't have high expectations for this as salt sprays occasionally don't work in my hair because of its length, but this one... oh my. I spray about 3-4 sprays in the lengths of my hair and it leaves it looking effortlessly wavy and as if I've just stepped out of the sea. What I love about it most? It actually holds the wave for the majority of the day, unlike most salt sprays I've tried. It doesn't leave your hair sticky or crispy either and in my opinion it's perfect.

Argan Moisturising Elixir - £22.95
This got me very excited as I'm a sucker for any sort of hair serum. I suppose its a much more concentrated version of the Silk Perfume as it does the same sort of thing. It gives the hair an instant boost for a smooth and healthy look. The elixir adds a brilliant shine; smoothes damaged hair and split ends and the lightweight formula leaves no residue. I usually focus this product in the ends of my hair where it tends to get a bit dry and they are gradually feeling noticeably softer.

Session Spray Strong - £18.95
Now I gave this one to my mum to try for me, as she uses hairspray and styling products daily as she blow dries her hair and I don't use hairspray unless it's a special occasion where I curl my hair. These products are used backstage on the models so the hairspray is a must for them to hold the hairstyles on the catwalks. It also features humidity protection which is great if you're going somewhere hot, or out clubbing for example and you'd like your hair style to stay put! It also adds shine and body to the hair, and my mum vouched on my behalf that it did all of that. She's really enjoyed using it and has become of her favourites!

A bonus item was thrown in which was a little compact mirror that was incased in a velvet pouch which I thought was a lovely touch.

I'd like to say a massive thank you to Balmain for their generosity, and for allowing me to feature their beautiful products on my blog!

If you're interested in checking their products out then you can find them on their website here.
And the gift set I received can be found here.

I would love to venture further into their collection and try their shampoo and conditioner!

Thoughts? Would you love to get your hands on these? Let me know in the comments!

Topshop Bronzer in 'Mohawk' - possible Laguna Dupe?

Now I'm always on the hunt for new bronzers, I just love them. It would be in the top three items I'd have to take with me on a desert island (although saying that I probably wouldn't need it there) so we'll go for a deserted arctic island instead.

I spotted this in Topshop a couple of weeks ago and I'd never seen it before nor had I heard anyone talk about it, so I figured it was probably fairly new. I originally bought it to use as a bronzer, however through trial and error I discovered it's slightly too muddy looking to be a bronzer but absolutely perfect to use as a contour colour. I'm going to go as far as saying it may be a dupe for NARS Laguna except the Topshop one is completely matte, whereas Laguna has a slight shimmer.

The fact that it's matte is really unusual for me as I don't have many bronzers that lack shimmer, but I really, really like it. That's what makes it perfect for contouring as it makes it look more natural. I've been using this everyday to contour my cheekbones and also my jawline using my Real Techniques expert face brush and the density of the brush makes the definition a lot more blatant. However as it states on the back of the packaging, it is buildable, which I agree with. If you were looking for a subtle contour, perhaps use this with the Real Techniques contour brush and lightly gather some on the brush and gently work it into your cheekbones. However, if you're anything like me and have next to no cheekbones then I recommend my way of using it because it really creates some spectacular definition!

I'm sure that if you're quite pale skinned then this may work as a nice subtle bronzer for you as it is not orange toned in the slightest so it would just add a bit of colour instead of making you look like you've just been for a really awful spray tan! But they also have a lighter shade called 'Sandcastle' if you find that this is a little too dark.

You can purchase it in Topshop stores now for £9, which I think is a bargain and a fraction of the price of NARS Laguna which is a hefty £26. Don't get me wrong, this hasn't converted me completely from Laguna but it is definitely a close competitor and great for if you're on a budget!

Have any of you tried this? If so, what are your thoughts?

Lush Haul November 2013

 Shoot For The Stars
 Father Christmas
Golden Wonder

So it's no secret that I love a good Lush bath bomb, but I love them more so at Christmas! I picked up four the other day and I thought I'd show you!

Shoot For The Stars - Bath Ballistic (£3.25)
It is supposed to smell like the much loved Lush 'Honey I Washed The Kids' soap, which I personally love the smell of and it's a really vanillery (actual term) smelling bath bomb. Once popped in the bath it releases a fantastic medley of colours (you can watch a demo here), it goes from blue to yellow to pink and in the end you are left with a really dark purple/blue coloured bath and it also releases little stars and silver glitter and I absolutely love it!

Father Christmas Bath Ballistic (£3.25)
The obvious choice for the lover of Christmas! I had this little guy last year and loved him so I thought I'd repurchase it again! WARNING, this one features a hell of a lot of glitter so if you've got somewhere businessy to be within an hour of having your bath, this wouldn't be the best unless you want to make an impression by looking like Edward Cullen! You can watch a demo here, but it releases a red colour and then it goes green and then this sort of brassy orangey glitter comes out and it makes your bath look so festive and beautiful! It's very sweet again and citrus smelling!

Bombardino Bath Ballastic (£2.50)
Now they always say that the best things come in small packages and this being one of them! I may have discovered my favourite bath bomb from Lush, maybe ever? The only down side to it being the earful I got from my dad for the yellow rim left around the bath tub! It has cocoa butter in it and when I tell you it softens your skin, it really does. I didn't know about the cocoa butter in it until after my bath because my skin felt, both in and out of the bath, so damn soft! It smells like sweet citrus and you can view the demo here!

Golden Wonder Bath Ballistic (£3.50)
And last but most definitely not least is Golden Wonder, another repurchase and this one just seems so special and definitely the most luxurious out of the bath bombs I bought. It actually rattles as if there's something inside which is amazing! I'd try not to handle it too much as it's coated in golden glitter but it makes your bath more fantastic. The colours that come out of it are lovely, it goes pretty much multicoloured but it then settles into a green and it also omits loads of tiny gold stars, it's so pretty! It's another citrus smelling one (theme much?) Watch the demo here

So that was my mini Lush haul, I absolutely love Lush and they also have great gift sets for Christmas so they're really worth checking out, as I know I'd personally love to receive one this year!

Have you tried this before? What's your favourite bath bomb from Lush?

Christmas Wish List 2013 - Fashion & Accessories

So here we have the second part of my Christmas Wish List, featuring all things fashion and accessories and a random one thrown in there for good measure.

Tartan Scarf(ves)
I just cannot get enough of them and they are such a staple for me in the autumn/winter months. I wear a lot of black as you may know so they are such an easy way to jazz up an outfit without even having to try!

Zara Everyday Shopper Bag
I was just browsing the Zara website and saw this beauty. I LOVE the colour of it, and it is bang on trend for A/W. It's different than your average black bag but only slightly. It looks very roomy which is perfect for me and it's only £19.99, even more perfect!

Topshop Textured Velvet Croc Leggings
You can't really see them in this photo but if you click here, you can see them zoomed in. I think they're amazing! They may look like a standard pair of leggings until you look closer and I think they provide a nice hint of detail and texture to my assumed all black outfit!

ASOS Touch Screen Mittens
They can be found here, I also found these alternatives which are just as beautiful and I don't know which I prefer! Touch screen mittens?! I want need these so badly! And they've got strings attaching them which is perfect for people like me who have a habit of losing my gloves and they'd go with pretty much anything!

Marc Jacobs iPhone Cases
Both of these designs take my fancy, I'm not sure if they sell the pink one anymore, but I think it's so sweet! I went into Selfridges the other day and saw the gold one and it immediately caught my eye! I think it's pretty damn cool and my phone thinks so too.

H&M Bedding
This is a recent discovery of mine, and as you may know I've become the teeniest bit obsessed with bedding and I love this houndstooth one from H&M and it also makes it easier to buy cushions etc because it's monochrome and I didn't know if you already knew but I'm addicted to monochrome..

What's on your Christmas Lists for fashion/accessories this year?

Christmas Wish List 2013 - Beauty

So here we have my my Christmas Wish List, Beauty Edition! Right so before you all jump in at once and buy me all of this (as much as I'd appreciate that) I thought this would be a good way of showing what I'd personally and in an ideal world would LOVE to receive this Christmas and I also thought it would give you some ideas potentially for your personal beauty Christmas shopping or as gifts for your friends and family this year!

Yankee Candle
To be quite honest, I will humbly accept any candle. I just used a Yankee Candle as an example because they are good quality candles. Specifically in the 'Vanilla Cupcake' scent because I am a complete sucker for anything that smells sickly sweet!

Tweezerman Tweezers
Now about 2 months ago, I was a firm believer that tweezers were tweezers, until my mum let me try her Tweezerman ones and oh my god. They were just amazing, it was like I didn't even have to try and pluck my eyebrows, they totally did all the work for me and most importantly I didn't cry! I need them!

Origins Night-A-Mins Night Cream
This has to be my holy grail night cream, other than the fact I love the smell (it smells like chocolate orange) it is one of my skin saviours especially during the winter. I don't use it every night but only when my skin needs that extra bit of moisture but I'm currently running low on my one!

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
If you remember I received this last Christmas in a gift set, and in all honesty I just wanted to see what the hype was and really wasn't expecting to love it quite this much. I use it on any dry patches I have but mainly on my lips before bed. I always wake up with such soft lips and it has also become one of my holy grail items and I am also running out of my current one (typical!)

Origins Gin-Zing Moisturiser
I've just been dying to try this for quite some time now, and another item I'd like to test whether it's worth the hype myself! Origins moisturisers haven't failed me yet!

Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask
Yet another hyped product that I've yet to try and dying to!

Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder
Are you sensing a little bit of a theme here? I'm a hyped products animal and it is imperative that I try them for myself! It's a matte contour colour which is supposed to look natural, perfect and its a VDM favourite which is just an added bonus!

Babyliss Curl Secret
I think this looks absolutely fascinating! This has also got nothing to do with the fact that I am a complete hair curling noob (technical term) and my hair always ends up curling in different directions and it's usually a bit of a mess. Now I don't know if it's the adverts or if it's actually THAT easy, but it's supposed to be foolproof which is what I need because I may be putting others in serious danger whenever I curl my hair, so I think it's for the safety of the human race that I own these!

Zoeva Brushes
I hate to say it, but I am getting a tiny bit bored of the make up brushes that I'm currently using, the majority of them being Real Techniques (sorry, not sorry Samantha Chapman!) I've heard a lot about Zoeva brushes being amazing quality and they're not too expensive either! I'm pretty annoyed with myself that I didn't buy any at IMATS actually. So I'd really like some new brushes to play with!

I will be doing a fashion/miscellaneous Christmas wish list next so keep your eyes peeled for that!

What's top of your wish list that's beauty related this year? Anything you think I should add (if that's even possible)?

Sensodyne Complete Protection Event!

Bit of a different post from me today, but before I start some of these photos were courtesy of my beautiful friend Mae (www.pastelbambi.com) because I lost my photos in the process of changing laptops!

Right so I was lucky enough to be invited by Pegasus PR to a the launch of the latest Sensodyne toothpaste, Sensodyne Complete Protection. Now I'm a teeny weeny bit late on this blogpost as this event was back in the summer, but I figured, better late than never! The event, as you can see from the photos above was incredible, it was so beautifully done down to the last detail. The venue was gorgeous and we were given drinks, and nibbles (love me a good nibble) and a goody bag with two boxes of Complete Protection (one in the 'Extra Fresh' flavour) and a toothbrush which I thought was fab.

We were then given an in depth talk and presentation about the product and after that the fun kicked in! They had an ice cream station which I may have taken one too many trips to, and a buzzer game shaped like teeth and if you completed it in the quickest time you won an iPod!

Anyway, so onto the science-y stuff, what makes this Sensodyne toothpaste different from any other one I hear you ask! Well it contains NovaMin which is clinically proven to treat tooth sensitivity by building a protective layer over vulnerable areas of the teeth as well as gently whitening! What's not to love?! I have quite sensitive teeth as I am quite partial to the 'occasional' Coke, and I am already a fan of Sensodyne products as I do find that they do in fact relieve my tooth sensitivity so I was ecstatic to try it out!

It is available from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Sainsburys and all other leading retailers, priced at £4.29

Do you have sensitive teeth? Apparently 71% of daily toothpaste users suffer from sensitive teeth, however only 1 in 3 buy a toothpaste catering to sensitive teeth needs.

Have you tried this before? If so, what are your thoughts?

Japonesque Launches Make Up Line | The Review

 Japonesque Luminous Foundation '06'
Japonesque Pro Performance Lip Lacquer in '06'

Japonesque Pro Performance Lip Lacquer in '01

Okay, so this is a handful of the new make up range that Japonesque has launched which is available to buy exclusively in John Lewis. I was perusing John Lewis for Christmas presents, and then there it was, lit up in all its glory,  I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. I love new make up launches as it is, but the fact I hadn't heard about this anywhere, excited me quite some bit.

You may or may not know that Japonesque are well known in the beauty world for their high quality brushes (none of which I own yet... YET!) So I was really surprised and intrigued to see they had a make up line. I had a play and as you could imagine, the first thing I made a dive for was the lip section. They had a beautiful range of lipsticks and lip lacquers. But it was the lacquers that took more of my fancy, obviously. They had some really beautiful colours but I went for the dark fuchsia colour and the nude (which has a slight shimmer) as I thought they were pretty safe bets. They are seriously super pigmented however they do apply quite stickily although they don't feel sticky when on the lips. I'm seriously considering going back and investing in some other colours because I like them so much. It has a brush as opposed to a doe-foot applicator which I prefer as it makes it easier to apply in my opinion. They were £15 which I think is reasonable because they really are fabulous.

Next I obviously had to go and try the foundation because in my mind, you can never have too many foundations. It was incredible. I swatched some on the back of my hand and every single line on my hand was instantly perfected, it looked so smooth and airbrushed, I was completely mesmerised about the transformation it had made. It's called the 'luminous foundation' and I can definitely agree with that, it left my face looking very dewy, VERY dewy but I managed to powder where I felt it necessary. So unfortunately this wouldn't be a good one for the oily skinned people out there. They had a great range of 10 shades to pick from also. It is light- medium coverage but definitely buildable. Also apparently within 60 seconds of it being in contact with your skin, it oxidises and matches your skin tone which is a massive bonus! You can pick this up for £24.

I am totally loving the Japonesque make up line and I can't wait to try out more products from their range.

Thoughts? Would this be something you'd be interested in trying? Should they just stick to brushes?

What's In My Bag?

So here we have the contents of my current bag, it may seem like a lot, but all necessary in my opinion, and if I'm being completely honest, it could be A LOT worse!

Kate Spade Purse
Probably the most eye catching item in my bag! It's too gorgeous for words and I received this for Christmas last year from my mum, it's the perfect size for me and stores more than enough, one of my most prized possessions!

iPhone 5
Pretty self explanatory, but I'd be nowhere without my trusty phone!

iPod Black Classic 160GB
Another necessity in my bag, I've had this for almost 5 years, and it's my pride and joy and it features verging on 9000 songs! To say that I'd be devastated if I lost it is a major understatement.

Sure Compressed Deodorant
Just incase, right? And it's only a little one so it's not an issue carrying it around.

Ray-Ban Wayfarers (Black)
I've had these for so long now, and they're just so classic. They go wonderfully with absolutely everything and I will definitely hand them down!

Sleek Lipstick in 'Vamp'
If you subscribe to my channel, you will know how much I love this lipstick, I haven't stopped raving about it since I got it. It's the perfect dark, vampy colour and it's in matte form so it won't budge!

MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation
Now this isn't my powder of choice, but just because it's in a compact form and comes with both sponge and mirror, it's more of a convenience because it has everything in it.

Canon IXUS Vlogging Camera
Another 'just incase' item, because you never know when a vlogging opportunity might arise! It's a pretty standard vlogging camera and it's quite light so easy to carry around.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
Possibly the best thing to carry around with you ever, the rumours are true! I mainly use it on my lips as it gives such a good bit of hydration (plus it makes it last that much longer). But it's like a multi-purpose balm and you can use it almost everywhere if you have the odd dry patch that you want to moisturise. It's very thick, and the smell is not for everyone, however you can purchase a non-scented one.

Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizer
Another necessity in my opinion, especially living in London! I carry at least two with me everywhere I go and they all have different scents and smell incredible. *BBW if you're reading this PLEASE bring yourselves over to the UK, thank you.

Portable Phone Charger
One of the best purchases I've ever made! You have no idea how many times this little one has saved my life! It's absolutely incredible and I think it gives your phone 4 full charges, and lasts for about 90 hours. You can find it here.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge 'Idol'
Another Item I've spoken about to death. It's perfect because it's a bold colour yet it doesn't budge, it just sets into your lips and isn't drying at all!

Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Perfume
Another gift from my wonderful mother as she wasn't too keen on the smell, but personally I love it! It takes some getting used to but now I love it and it's in a cute, dinky little bottle which is an added bonus! It sticks around for a good amount of time also!

Hope you enjoyed snooping into my bag!

Autumn / Birthday Wishlist ♡

Wishlist #1

Here we have my Autumn wishlist/ hopefully some items I'll receive for my birthday!

Vagabond Dioon Elastic Chelsea Boots
Aren't they just so perfect for A/W? I've been seeing them around a lot lately and they are definitely on my wish list. They've got a platform so they don't look too high, as I'm atrocious at walking in anything mildly high. You can purchase them here if you're interested!

Molecule One by Escentric Molecules
I've spoken about this perfume too many time to count, but I am running a little low and need a refill!

They're just my favourite flower and they make the rest of the wishlist look pretty.

Zara Rucksack
I never saw myself as a rucksack kinda girl, but recently I've been sort of swayed towards them. Plus I think it would be nice to not have to lug around all my 'essentials' on my arm all the time! I like this one because it looks more expensive than Zara and it would go with near enough everything.

Oribe Dry Texturising Spray
Pretty self explanatory I think, I just want to see what all the hype is! I love a bit of texture in my hair and I haven't heard one bad thing about it as of yet!

MAC x Riri 'Talk That Talk'
It's probably sold out by now, but if you've seen my previous blogpost then you'll know why I want this so badly. It just looks so me, and I want it so badly!

Tartan Scarf
I really like the print of this one, I don't own a light coloured tartan scarf, but literally any tartan scarf would make me happy as I think they're one of my autumn style staples.

Ray-Ban Clubmasters
I've wanted these for years purely because they suit so many people and I really like the way they look on me! I think it's about time I bucked up and invested in them, plus I get 25% discount so there really is no excuse is there?

I love making these little things on Polyvore, let me know if you want some more, I'm sure I can come up with a few more themes to put together!

50 Shades Of Vamp?

  Rimmel by Kate Moss '107'

Topshop Lipstick 'Suspect'

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream 'Monte Carlo'

Sleek Lipstick 'Vamp'

 Revlon Lipstick 'Black Cherry'

Hourglass Opaque Rouge 'Idol'

Did I mention that I am completely head- over -heels in love with berry coloured lips this Autumn/Fall? These are just a handful of my current favourites! I think they also tie in really nicely with the whole 90's-grunge trend as well. It is very rare that you will ever see me without a vampy lip this autumn as I am just so incredibly addicted!

I've been loving pairing a vampy lip with a dark smokey eye, one in particular I've been loving is the bottom left dark brown, shimmery eyeshadow in the Sleek 'Storm' palette (sorry for the awful description, but it doesn't have a name!), it's just so perfect and it blends out so beautifully. I'm definitely doing tutorial on it because it's so simple yet so effective. With such a dark, bold lip, I think it's imperative that you try to find one with a matte formula and or some form of lip cream because there is chance of smudging and it's not the most subtle colour to have smeared all over your face!

In all honesty, I wish it was acceptable to rock a vampy lip 365 days a year and I am definitely on a hunt for more shades of vamp and I'm making it my personal mission to own every single one.

Have any of you got any suggestions for ones I don't already own? I NEED THEM. Also if any of you would like a more in depth video on these lipsticks then let me know!

FCUK 'From Sketch to Store'

So I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of FCUK's 'From Sketch to Store' event (my first fashion event!!) by my lovely friend Lauren from coppercloset27 on YouTube who is pictured above in the beautiful tomato coloured coat.

It was a really fun event and I met some lovely new ladies who are also pictured a bit further up.They challenged us to go around the store and pick out anything and create an outfit, have it photographed and put up on Facebook and whoever had the most likes on their outfit would win £1200 worth of vouchers for FCUK which is incredible! I didn't take part for a reason I'm not actually sure of (one too many of the Mahiki cocktails that they were handing out!) but I was totally #TeamLauren, and I think she looked absolutely incredible and I couldn't have put an outfit better together myself! Did I mention we were also spoilt with a complimentary hand massage from a team from Rituals?!

Sorry this is such a quick post but I thought it would be a bit of a different one and I'd give you some nice photos of the evening and their current collections to look at instead. So thank you to Lauren for inviting me and to FCUK for a fabulous night and the amazing goodies they spoilt us with!

Make absolute sure you're subscribed to Lauren by clicking here, I promise you won't regret it!
