Okay, so this is a handful of the new make up range that Japonesque has launched which is available to buy exclusively in John Lewis. I was perusing John Lewis for Christmas presents, and then there it was, lit up in all its glory,  I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. I love new make up launches as it is, but the fact I hadn't heard about this anywhere, excited me quite some bit.

You may or may not know that Japonesque are well known in the beauty world for their high quality brushes (none of which I own yet... YET!) So I was really surprised and intrigued to see they had a make up line. I had a play and as you could imagine, the first thing I made a dive for was the lip section. They had a beautiful range of lipsticks and lip lacquers. But it was the lacquers that took more of my fancy, obviously. They had some really beautiful colours but I went for the dark fuchsia colour and the nude (which has a slight shimmer) as I thought they were pretty safe bets. They are seriously super pigmented however they do apply quite stickily although they don't feel sticky when on the lips. I'm seriously considering going back and investing in some other colours because I like them so much. It has a brush as opposed to a doe-foot applicator which I prefer as it makes it easier to apply in my opinion. They were £15 which I think is reasonable because they really are fabulous.

Next I obviously had to go and try the foundation because in my mind, you can never have too many foundations. It was incredible. I swatched some on the back of my hand and every single line on my hand was instantly perfected, it looked so smooth and airbrushed, I was completely mesmerised about the transformation it had made. It's called the 'luminous foundation' and I can definitely agree with that, it left my face looking very dewy, VERY dewy but I managed to powder where I felt it necessary. So unfortunately this wouldn't be a good one for the oily skinned people out there. They had a great range of 10 shades to pick from also. It is light- medium coverage but definitely buildable. Also apparently within 60 seconds of it being in contact with your skin, it oxidises and matches your skin tone which is a massive bonus! You can pick this up for £24.

I am totally loving the Japonesque make up line and I can't wait to try out more products from their range.

Thoughts? Would this be something you'd be interested in trying? Should they just stick to brushes?
