Hello! Long time, no blog. I have no excuse other than the norms, so I won't bore you half to death! My YouTube network (Collective Digital Studio) are launching a new site called SoTrenDiY which is a dedicated to beauty, fashion and DIY's and they kindly asked me if I'd like to be a contributor for when it launches and naturally I said yes because I thought it would be an amazing opportunity! Anyway they were lovely enough to send me a little box filled with goodies for me to try!
Two of the products were both from Too Faced (which I've only dabbled in before), one was the Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer and the other was the Better Than Sex mascara. Both these products have been heavily involved in my recent everyday make up routine and I've honestly been loving using these every single day.
THE BRONZER (£25)
It claims to be the 'ultimate shimmer-free, matte bronzer' which is 'perfect for contouring and creating an all over deep tan using real anti-oxidant-rich cocoa powder'. You can definitely tell it's got that cocoa powder in it as it smells good enough to eat! I have to say, I think that it definitely does a better job at contouring than it does bronzing. Don't get me wrong it looks lovely on the high points of my face as a bronzer, however I think the matte-ness of it works better as a contour, but that's just my personal opinion as I like a bit of shimmer whilst bronzing.
THE MASCARA (£19)
Hands down my favourite of the two, this mascara that claims that, as it states in the name, 'Better than Sex. I don't feel comfortable vouching for that on my blog, however it is a seriously, INCREDIBLE mascara. I didn't think I'd like it because it's not a plastic brush which is what I tend to sway for, but my god was I wrong! There's a lot of science malarky behind it like 'Film-Firming Polymer (what?) for smudge-proof, all day wear, 'Acacia Senegal Tree Extract' (double what?) to nourish, thicken and lock curl in place and finally 'unique Peptides' (I gave up a long time ago) for the deepest, intense black. Also 100% of people saw both longer lashes and dramatic volume, this I CAN vouch for. I just think it makes my lashes look like false ones, and I've had so many compliments on them ever since I've started wearing them. The price is a bit steep, but I would definitely repurchase this in a heartbeat without a shadow of a doubt!
Have any of you tried either of these? What's your favourite Too Faced product?
