Cutest Nails Ever?

OH PRAISE ALEXA CHUNG FOR COLLABORATING WITH NAILS INC TO MAKE THIS BEAUTIFUL SET.

She has come out with 6 gorgeous shades with a mixture of plain, coloured shades and fun top coats. I think she's hit the nail on the head with this set as personally I've never seen anything like it. My favourite combination that I've tried has to be the one that is pictured last. There is something about the clashing pink and red that I love and the hearts add an adorable touch.

I mentioned in my 'What I Got For Christmas' video  that the downsides to the stars and the heart top coats is that you have to make sure you properly seal them down with a good top coat or they start to poke up and they can be really quite sharp (I have the scratches to prove it!) and secondly, they are ridiculously hard to apply. I think they should have changed the formula slightly to perhaps more stars to top coat ratio or vice versa so that when you paint your nails they actually apply, otherwise you just end up painting huge amount of coats of clear top coat on. I had to use the tip of the brush to stick them on which was a right pain in the wotsit but I suppose the end result is worth it.

I would say that if you have the patience to apply and let dry (and repeat) or you're a nail varnish fanatic then this would be the set for you. I must say that the great thing about it is that there are so many different varieties of looks you could go for on your nails.

I know for a fact it is on sale at the moment on the John Lewis website at the moment, which you can find here, so if you're interested in trying it out, you can get it for a cheaper price!

Do you guys have this, or have any tips to make the top coats easier to apply?
